AAE helps one very lucky street kitten make a new home in Greece
Harry Tzalas, an Alexandrian Greek living in Greece, found a small undernourished black kitten on the streets of Alexandria. He took it home and looked after it, but he had to go back to Athens. The kitten, christened Iskander (Arabic for Alexander the Great), was too small to be vaccinated and taken abroad. When Harry asked for our help, AAE took in the kitten, where it became best friends with Bondok, another kitten the same age, awaiting adoption. Harry came back a few months later, had Iskander vaccinated, fixed his papers, and took him to Athens with AAE's help. Iskander, now re-christened Alex, is a happy glossy cat living with Harry's daughter (also called Alexandra), and a white angora cat. Thanks, Harry, for saving this beautiful cat. Thanks also to the medical help provided by the Animal Aid Egypt clinic and Sahar Hamouda [ AAE member and volunteer] who was instrumental in making all this happen.
